Both traditional genetic organisms and a number of agricultural species are being intensively investigated with both molecular and classical genetic approaches. Faculty members are organized into five focus groups: animal genomics, chromosome biology, general genetics, human genetics, and model plants. Students elect to participate in the focus group of their choice.

This program is an interdisciplinary Graduate Group.
